A leading global investment bank is looking to hire an experienced Markets Legal Counsel to support its Counterparty Trading & Risk (CTR) and Foreign Exchange (FX) businesses. This is a broad, front-office aligned role, partnering closely with sales and trading teams on a wide range of transactions and strategic initiatives.

The Role

  • Provide day-to-day legal support across global markets activities, including:
    • Advising front office teams on derivatives, FX and structured transactions
    • Supporting financing transactions (including project and acquisition finance elements)
    • Acting as a key legal partner to investor and corporate sales teams
    • Leading legal input on new products, jurisdictions and currencies
    • Advising on default scenarios, close-outs and market stress events
    • Collaborating with global legal teams across EMEA and the US

This is a high-impact role with significant exposure to complex transactions and evolving regulatory and geopolitical environments.

Candidate Profile

  • 6–10+ PQE, from private practice or in-house
  • Background in derivatives / markets / banking & finance
  • Working knowledge of FX and derivatives products (ISDA familiarity beneficial but not the sole focus)
