A global financial services organisation is looking to hire an experienced Legal Counsel with a background in banking / financial services products and who has a strong corporate banking and technology-enabled product focus to support its Platform & Data Services business, which delivers digital platforms, data, tools, and APIs to corporate and institutional clients globally.

This role sits within a high‑performing global legal team, providing product and transactional support across multiple jurisdictions, and working closely with product, risk, compliance, and regional legal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal support across platform and data-enabled financial products
  • Advise on new product launches and international expansion
  • Draft and negotiate product and service agreements
  • Support non-standard commercial and banking-related negotiations
  • Coordinate multi-jurisdictional matters and liaise with external counsel
  • Track and advise on relevant legal and regulatory developments
Key Requirements
  • Qualified lawyer with 5+ years’ PQE (or equivalent)
  • Background in corporate banking, financial services, or commercial legal work
  • Experience advising on transactions and complex stakeholder environments
  • Exposure to UK/EU regulatory matters preferred
  • Basic understanding of data protection
  • In-house experience helpful but not essential
