Interim Corporate Counsel (2-5 PQE)
MLA is partnering with a high-growth, international e-commerce and consumer brands business that is looking to hire an Interim Corporate Counsel to support its legal team for a 9 to 12 month contract.
This is a broad commercial role with a strong focus on M&A transactions, working closely with senior stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead legal workstreams on acquisitions from LOI through to completion.
- Draft, review and negotiate M&A and commercial agreements.
- Support corporate finance matters, including debt and equity transactions.
- Advise on a range of in-house legal issues, including commercial contracts, employment, IP and data privacy.
- Manage external counsel and help improve legal processes, templates and compliance frameworks.
- Partner with stakeholders across the business on strategic and operational matters.
About You
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales or another common law jurisdiction).
- 2 β 5 PQE with experience leading or supporting M&A transactions.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills across corporate and commercial matters.
- Experience gained in private practice, in-house, or a combination of both.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- German language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.
