Major Recruitment are pleased to be working with one of the county’s biggest Bulk herb suppliers. We have a great opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies and policies for cost optimisation and enhancing supply chain efficiency.
- Identifying, evaluating and selecting suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness and adherence to ethical and sustainability standards in collaboration with technical approval.
- Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favourable pricing, payment terms and mutually beneficial agreements and ensuring that suppliers comply to food safety and health and safety standards.
- Work with NPD and Technical departments to source new products and suppliers.
- Conducting market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends, supplier capabilities and pricing fluctuations.
- Obtain the best value for money on all types of purchasing.
- Work with Factory/Production Manager to plan production/stock.
Key Attributes:
- Previous experience in a purchasing management position.
- Effective communication skills both written and verbally.
- Research and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- CIPS qualification preferred but not essential.
