CCTV Control room Operative

Major Recruitment is currently looking for a CCTV Control Room Operative in Birmingham.

Position Details:

• Type: Full-time, 36 hours per week
• Shifts: Usually 3 x 12-hour shifts, which can be days, nights, or weekends
• Pay: £12.80 per hour
• Shift Times: 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am
• Location: Birmingham B7

You will play an integral role in helping to make our residents feel safer, drawing on your local knowledge to develop key priorities for the neighborhoods you serve.

Day-to-Day Duties:

• Provide a professional and effective public CCTV/Door Entry monitoring service, working closely with Mobile Patrol Officers and Night-Time Security Service Supervisors to ensure safe, clean, and secure neighborhoods across Birmingham.
• Ensure integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of all information, maintaining strict compliance with standards.
• Respond to calls regarding Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) or breaches of tenancy, investigating, recording findings, and forwarding to Mobile Patrol Officers, following escalation procedures for further action.
• Maintain a shift activity log and prepare incident reports related to repairs and non-urgent enquiries, including detailed electronic incident reports.
• Check security equipment and radios at the start of each shift and ensure effective communication with patrol teams.
• Carry out all duties in compliance with ISO 9001, BS 7958, BS 5979, BS 8418, and NSI standards. Training will be provided to ensure compliance.

You must wear the official uniform and identity badge at all times whilst on duty.
