We are looking for an experienced Adults Social Worker to work within the local council.

Role Summary.

The post holder will require knowledge and experience of working within the relevant legislative frameworks of the Care Act, Mental Health and Mental capacity Act and associated policy

The post holder will be required to work within a strength-based model of assessment and support. They will also be required to undertake safeguarding investigation and have the ability to assess and manage risk.

The ideal person will have the below criteria and Knowledge to be able to ease straight into the role.

  • Significant relevant social care experience, including post and pre-qualifying experience in Social Care
  • Applying social work practice and social work theory to complex cases
  • Undertaking risk assessments and safeguarding investigations
  • Knowledge of other agencies and their role
  • Promoting and facilitating multi-disciplinary and partnership working with private, public and community/voluntary sectors
  • Knowledge of Government initiatives relating to social care
  • Practical experience of carrying out research and producing relevant reports.

Qualifications to do this role.

Undertake additional formal training such as a Practice Educator. Subject to the needs of the service and eligibility requirements being met to undertake the training.

Hours of work 7.5 per day over five days a week, some occasional evening and out of hours work.
