Due to continued growth, our client is looking for several Fit and Assembly Technicians who are hands-on, mechanically capable, and comfortable working to high standards in a structured manufacturing environment. This is not a production-line role. If you care about quality, can follow instructions accurately, and want stability in a business that values skill over speed, keep reading.
What you’ll actually be doing:
- Assembling and fitting components using engineering drawings and work instructions
- Working with hand tools and equipment in a controlled, quality-led environment
- Carrying out in-process checks to ensure parts meet specification
- Working alongside experienced fitters, engineers, and quality teams
- Flagging issues early regarding quality matters
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Supporting continuous improvement
What we need from you:
- Solid mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand and power tools
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, assembly, or fitting (aerospace experience is useful, but not essential if your standards are right)
- Ability to read and follow engineering drawings and instructions
- Strong attention to detail - you notice when something isn’t right
- A reliable, team-focused attitude
- Willingness to learn and develop within an aerospace environment
- Comfortable with standing work and manual handling as part of the role
