CNC Operator – Turning & Milling (Setter / Operator)\\n\\nLocation: Birmingham\\nJob Type: Permanent, Full-Time\\nHours: 37 hours per week (Early Friday finish)\\n\\nAbout the Business\\n\\nThis opportunity is with a well-established UK precision engineering manufacturer operating in regulated, quality-critical sectors.\\n\\nThe business is known for long employee tenure, reflecting a stable and professional working environment. The shop floor is relaxed but hard-working, with clear expectations, strong technical standards, and a focus on quality rather than volume.\\n\\nThis is a company where people tend to join for the long term.\\n\\nThe Role\\n\\nWe are recruiting a hands-on CNC Programmer / Machinist to work across CNC turning and milling machines.\\n\\nThis is not a CAM-only or offline programming role. The position is focused on setting, operating, and editing existing programs at the machine, working from detailed engineering drawings in a clean, organised manufacturing environment.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities\\n\\n * Set and operate CNC turning and milling machines\\n\\n * Edit and prove out existing programs at the machine\\n\\n * Adjust offsets, feeds, speeds, and tooling as required\\n\\n * Work from engineering drawings, including GD&T\\n\\n * Support production across machines as required\\n\\n * Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping\\n\\n * Contribute to continuous improvement and 5S activities\\n\\nSkills & Experience Required\\n\\n * Apprenticeship-trained CNC machinist or equivalent hands-on experience\\n\\n * Proven experience in CNC turning and milling\\n\\n * Setter / Operator level experience in a precision engineering environment\\n\\n * Confidence editing programs at the control\\n\\n * Strong drawing interpretation skills\\n\\n * Proactive, reliable approach\\n\\nControls & Systems\\n\\n * Fanuc experience – preferred\\n\\n * Mazak or similar CNC controls – beneficial\\n\\n * CMM / inspection experience – advantageous\\n\\nWhat’s On Offer\\n\\n * Permanent, long-term role\\n\\n * Stable, well-run engineering environment\\n\\n * Early Friday finish\\n\\n * Competitive salary depending on experience\\n\\n * Clean, quality-focused shop floor
