Major Food Group is hiring an experienced Guest Relations Coordinator to join our team at Carbone London! We are actively searching for a Guest Relations Coordinator who thrives in customer service and is proficient in managing various reservation systems. Responsibilities:
- Manage reservation books for all Major Food Group restaurants and efficiently handle a high volume of email inquiries.
- Relay guest information, including cancellations, changes, VIP reservations, and issues, to restaurant managers effectively.
- Understand seating arrangements and service flow to optimize restaurant capacity, reduce wait times at the entrance, and accommodate guest needs.
- Facilitate guest experiences, handling special requests and advance payments swiftly.
- Assist the Guest Relations department with tasks such as sending daily VIP reports, obtaining itemized receipts, and escalating inquiries to management as needed.
- Forward all Event Inquiries promptly to the Event Team.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with local concierge services.
- Exhibit professionalism and maintain a positive demeanor during telephone and email interactions, processing information and managing stress gracefully.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of the Major Food Groupβs restaurant menus and designs.
Requirements:
- 2 years of prior experience in the restaurant industry, preferably in fine dining.
- Availability on weekends and/or holidays is required.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong guest relations skills and a keen interest in fostering relationships with guests.
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with reservation systems such as Resy, Open Table, or SevenRooms.
- A proactive attitude, attention to detail, and a robust work and personal ethic.
