We are looking for a qualified Electrical Technician to work on a variety of sites to deliver after-sales, maintenance contracts and customer services on Power Transmission and Distribution equipment. The role primarily involves visiting customer sites and conducting the repair, maintenance and upgrade of customer private networks and their assets. The role will be mainly site-based with regular office visits.
The role and responsibilities include:
- Assembling power transmission and distribution equipment and associated items (LV/HV switch, Ring Main Units etc) on site installations.
- Carrying out fault finding and resolving after care services and warranty issues with the equipment.
- Completing maintenance activity for both supplied equipment and customers' own HV & LV networks and assets.
- Carrying out basic site testing requirements of equipment, ensuring adherence to standards and ensuring safe operation of all devices.
- Providing breakdown support to Customers as required.
- Working and collaborating alongside other contractors whilst on site.
- Completing site reports for work conducted, ensuring method and risk assessments are completed and followed as necessary.
The ideal candidate will either be a time-served electrical technician or be HNC/HND or similar qualified in Electrical Engineering. You should be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a small busy team. Any knowledge of HV or LV Power equipment would be a strong advantage.
You must have a full UK Driving Licence and be willing to work away on customer sites. This is a junior role with good training and career development opportunities.
