We are currently recruiting for an experienced Material Specialist / Material Handler to support warehouse and materials operations at a large industrial site in Aberdeen. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced environment, ideal for candidates with strong warehouse experience and valid forklift certifications.
The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe, accurate movement, storage and documentation of materials to support ongoing operations. You will be working closely with warehouse and operations teams to maintain high standards of safety, organisation and inventory control.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and material-handling equipment (B1 & B2 essential)
- Accurately move, store and issue materials in line with work orders and procedures
- Read and interpret written instructions, pick lists and operational documentation
- Prepare clear and accurate reports relating to inventory and material movements
- Process shipping and receiving documentation in line with internal procedures
- Maintain awareness of site layout, storage locations and material flows
- Carry out basic inventory calculations to ensure stock accuracy
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety and site procedures at all times
Requirements
- Valid Forklift B1 & B2 licences (mandatory)
- Minimum 2+ years' experience in an industrial warehouse or materials role
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to complete written documentation
- Willingness to complete and maintain all required certifications and site training
