An Electronics Test Technician is needed by a busy engineering company to join their team. Working closely with the design and production teams, you will check that products are correctly built and conform to test procedures. This will include programming a range of processors. You will perform tests based on set procedures and make recommendations for improvements in the efficiency of testing, fault find down to component level aided with circuit diagrams, and maintain test equipment used to interface product under test.
You will also design and build test equipment required to improve testing efficiency of the company's products, assist team members with fault finding and the development of new products, and adhere to all quality and health and safety standards, e.g. failure reporting systems.
YOUR SKILLS
The successful candidate will have a HNC or Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent and some experience of electrical and electronics testing within a manufacturing environment. You will also have experience of using general test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators, and current meters). You will need to be able to fault find down to component level and be able to communicate with staff at all levels.
