Major IT & Digital are delighted to be working in partnership with a leading cutting edge business that specialises in bespoke automation and robotics engineering. Operating in the heart of West Yorkshire, my client has seen significant growth over the last 5 years due to working on several large scale engineering projects across the UK.
As a result of continued growth, my client is looking to scale up the engineering team over the next 12 months with immediate requirements for a Software Engineering specialist ideally within the industrial / electrical engineering space. This is a chance to join a forward thinking company with opportunities to further develop and build on your existing engineering portfolio.
As a seasoned software engineer, you will be well conversed in developing, modifying and optimising industrial automation systems with ‘hands on’ experience of PLC programming and some understanding of robotics automation technology such as ABB or Omron. Additionally, you will be a technical expert with a strong background in troubleshooting and resolving automation and control system issues remotely and across customer sites, and support the testing of automated machinery.
Whilst access to a company car is available for this role, you will be required to drive across various UK sites and hold a full UK driving license. While not essential, it would be useful to have some knowledge of SCADA or HMI development including any industrial network exposure.
