We are recruiting for an experienced Sales Estimator to join a well-established manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive Sales Estimator who enjoys working closely with customers, interpreting technical information, and delivering accurate quotations in a fast-paced environment.
As a Sales Estimator, you will play a key role in supporting customers from initial enquiry through to quotation, helping to secure new business while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
The Role
- Managing customer enquiries via telephone and email, gathering all relevant technical information and specifications.
- Reading and interpreting engineering and technical drawings.
- Analysing labour, material, and production time requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Liaising with suppliers to obtain material pricing and raising purchase orders through internal systems.
- Preparing and submitting quotations using estimating software.
- Following up submitted quotations and obtaining feedback where opportunities have not been successful.
- Supporting business growth by developing relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Maintaining accurate records of quotations, feedback, and customer interactions.
- Updating material and operational costs within the system.
