Majestic Wine Stow-on-the-Wold is looking for a dynamic, ambitious, and driven individual who wants to grow and develop within a company revolutionising retail!

Majestic is the UK’s largest specialist wine retailer, operating a network of stores nationwide. Founded in , the company recently returned to private ownership following Fortress Investment Group\’s acquisition and has undergone significant transformation, including record market share growth, a new website, and six new stores with plans for expansion. Our range includes over 1, different wines, spirits, and beers, both online and in-store, with knowledgeable, friendly staff trained to WSET standards.
The Role
As a Majestic Trainee Manager, you will undertake a 12-month development programme to gain comprehensive operational, service, and leadership experience, preparing you to become a future Store Manager. You will follow a structured training pathway with support from your Store Manager to ensure your success.
Key Responsibilities
At Majestic Wine, our Customers are central. You will serve as an ambassador for your store, supporting the team to deliver outstanding shopping experiences.
- Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and improving KPIs.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to foster loyalty and repeat business.
- Offer VIP concierge services, updating customers on products and tastings.
- Promote products through in-depth knowledge, tastings, and storytelling.
- Enhance your wine knowledge to support your WSET qualifications and sales confidence.
- Maintain the store\’s appearance and operational standards.
- Participate in operational tasks like delivery, merchandising, and customer calls to boost sales.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements.
- Ensure compliance with policies and safety standards.
- Engage in personal development and support junior team members.
Knowledge & Skills Required
- Experience in fast-paced retail or hospitality environments.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritise and solve problems under pressure.
- Self-motivated with a proactive attitude.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Passion for learning about wine; willingness to achieve WSET Level 2 & 3.
- Full UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
