Majestic is the UK’s largest specialist wine retailer with a network of stores nationwide. Founded in , the company recently transitioned back to private ownership after Fortress Investment Group\’s acquisition. It has undergone significant transformation, including record market share growth, a new website, and six new stores, with plans for further expansion. Our range includes over 1, different wines, spirits, and beers, available online and in-store. The Role
As a Majestic Trainee Manager, you will undertake a 12-month development program to gain comprehensive operational, service, and leadership experience, preparing you to become a future Store Manager. You will follow a structured training pathway with support from your Store Manager, setting you up for success.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the store as an ambassador, supporting the team to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
- Drive store performance by maximizing sales opportunities and improving KPIs.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to foster loyalty and repeat business.
- Provide VIP concierge services, including product updates and tastings.
- Share your passion for products through tastings and managing tasting events.
- Enhance your wine knowledge to support your WSET qualifications and sales confidence.
- Maintain the store\’s appearance and operational standards.
- Participate in operational tasks like stock deliveries, merchandising, and customer outreach.
- Identify and implement improvements to operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with policies and complete mandatory training.
- Own your development and support junior team members, providing feedback to your Store Manager.
Knowledge & Skills Required
- Experience in retail or hospitality environments, working in a team.
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Strong problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and in teams.
- Positive attitude with a passion for learning about wine and achieving WSET certifications.
- Valid UK/EU/EEA driving license for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
