Perfect for an entry-level or early-career HR professional, this role provides practical experience across recruitment, onboarding, and people processes in a fast-moving retail environment.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in recruitment and HR administration. Working closely with the Recruitment Team and internal stakeholders, you will take ownership of the candidate onboarding journey and provide administrative support across recruitment and wider People Team activities. The role offers valuable exposure to the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, and learning and development coordination.

Location: Watford - Our Head Office is based in Watford, just 20 minutes from London Euston. From Watford Junction, we are a 15-minute walk to our Head Office.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a positive and seamless candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey.
- Provide end-to-end administrative support to Hiring Managers, from requisition approval through to first day of employment.
- Create and post job adverts on the ATS and external job boards, including social media platforms (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook), to maximise direct sourcing success.
- Update and maintain our careers website.
- Coordinate interviews, including scheduling, candidate communication, and logistics.
- Manage successful candidates through screening, onboarding, and contract generation.
- Ensure Right to Work checks are completed, recorded, and maintained in line with compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment trackers to monitor candidate progress across all recruitment stages.
- Oversee the recruitment inbox, responding to and escalating queries as appropriate.
- Provide administrative cover and support when Talent Partners are absent or out of office.
- Oversee the ordering and coordination of new uniform requests to ensure timely delivery.
- Support wider HR administration, including processing resignations and changes of circumstances (e.g. promotions) in the required format.
- Respond to recruitment and HR queries via Freshdesk, allocating tickets to relevant team members where necessary.
- Undertake additional ad-hoc administrative duties as required to support the wider HR teams.
Knowledge/ Skills/ Experience
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond effectively to business needs.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills, ensuring accuracy in all recruitment documentation.
- Understanding of Right to Work compliance and employment eligibility checks, or willingness to learn and apply current legislation accurately.
- Competent in using recruitment systems, databases, and Gmail.
- Previous recruitment or HR administrative experience is desirable but not essential, as full training can be provided.
- Ability to maintain confidential candidate information in line with GDPR and data protection requirements.
