The Role: To support the Senior Operations Manager and Warehouse Staff to work effectively within the DC, implementing the correct processes and practices across the warehouse Night shift team.
Job Specifics:
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Shift: Night (Charlie)
- Hours: 22:00pm - 06:00am (must be flexible to work weekends)
- Location: Hemel Hempstead, Boundary Way
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- All Operatives to be working at or above the DC expected target of 1200 cases per day
- Ensure all completed store pallets that are dispatched from the DC meet the correct standards
- Set up and lead a warehouse shift team on a daily basis (Alpha/Bravo/Charlie)
- Understanding of the business sales plan and how you and your team support the business in achieving this, conveying that to your team
- Understanding and upholding Majestic Policies, ensuring that all policy related actions are completed in required time frame, conducting Return to Work meetings and supporting attendance & disciplinary meetings where necessary
- Ensure all warehouse standards are being met and maintained by the warehouse team
- Work collaboratively with Operations Manager to deliver quarterly performance reviews of all individuals within your team
- Work to facilitate, both mandatory and discretionary training within the team, to ensure all training is up to date on the DC Training Matrix
- Ensure the safe and correct use of all equipment is practised in the DC
- Promptly update and record any stock adjustments that are required eg. stock move, write off, priority
- Adhere to all Company Health and Safety policies and documents
- All P1,P2 or P3 issues are escalated according to Company escalation policy
- Fulfil First Aid and Fire Marshal responsibilities across site when required
Knowledge & Skills Required:
- Previous Management experience within a warehouse environment or in a similar position would be advantageous
- Analytical thinking
- Effective Communicator
- A flexible approach to working practices, being able to adapt to new circumstances as they arise
- An overall understanding of Warehouse Operations and processes
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Computer literate; Word, Excel, Email and WMS (TRS, Accord, iSeries).

Please note, from time to time this role involves physical work including lifting up to 15kg in a warehouse environment.
