Retail Sales Assistant/Driver - Crouch End (27 Hours)

The Role

As a Sales Assistant you’ll be supporting your store team with driving sales performance and the day‑to‑day running of your store. You’ll deliver exceptional customer service and experience to optimise KPI performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and supporting the team to meet and exceed targets.
• Deliver exceptional, market‑leading customer service to drive business growth through loyalty and repeat purchases.
• Offer a VIP concierge service, actively contacting customers with updates on products and tastings.
• Sell the story, not the discount; demonstrate and share your passion for product through an in‑depth knowledge of our range.
• Take ownership of your wine knowledge, learning constantly about our products to support a WSET qualification and confidence in selling.
• Take accountability and pride for the physical appearance and maintenance of your store, both internally and externally.
• Participate in all operational tasks required for the day‑to‑day running of a Majestic Wine store – from delivering wine to customers, merchandising stock deliveries and calling valued customers to drive sales opportunities.
• Continuously identify opportunities to optimise operational running of the store, feeding ideas back to your wider team for joint implementation.
• Remain fully compliant, safe and legal by following internal policies, processes and completing mandatory training.
• Be an example of Majestic’s Ways of Working and provide support to more junior team members, feeding back to your Store Manager as appropriate.
• As a key holder, understand opening and closing compliance and be confident to operate the store without your management team.

• Wine knowledge is beneficial; passion to learn more is essential to pass level 2 WSET qualifications.
• Hold a full UK manual transmission driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.

Contract: Permanent. Hours: 27 hours per week – must be able to work evenings and weekends. Driving is a key part of this position; must be comfortable driving a company van. We will not accept candidates without a full UK manual driver’s licence held for at least 12 months for this position.
