Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Account Navigation & Governance: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the client's complex estate to effectively manage their multi-channel structure and procurement nuances. Ensure all account activity adheres to contractual obligations and procurement compliance standards across the entire account portfolio. Manage the end-to-end New Line Form (NLF) process and digital catalogue maintenance to ensure seamless product launches and maximum availability.
- Commercial Analytics & Strategic Reporting: Execute rigorous weekly and monthly sales analysis alongside gap analysis to identify hidden revenue opportunities and track performance against KPIs. Synthesize complex data sets into high-level executive summaries and Quarterly Business Review (QBR) packs for senior stakeholder presentations. Drive the Major Commercial pipeline and maintain absolute Salesforce integrity to ensure all new business opportunities are accurately captured and tracked.
- Financial & Price File Management: Maintain dynamic, real-time price files and manage category-specific uplifts to ensure commercial accuracy and year-round margin protection. Take full ownership of retrospective rebate management and resolve complex invoice queries to maintain financial transparency and trust.
- Supply Chain & Relationship Management: Orchestrate stock forecasts for specific client sites and deliver proactive mitigation proposals to prevent supply chain disruptions during menu/inventory changes or seasonal shifts. Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for the client while leading the organization and attendance of key industry events and exhibitions.
Knowledge & Skills Required
- Industry Experience: in wholesale or national accounts (wine business preferable)
- WSET Level 2 Qualified
- Advanced Excel: Mastery of VLOOKUPs, Power Query, Pivot Tables, and data visualization (Power BI preferred)
- Financial Acumen and Multitasking Ability to distill massive datasets into executive-level summaries for Account Managers
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent relationship management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings
- Passion for providing exceptional customer service
- A passion for wine, with a good knowledge of the industry and its trends.
