An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering major industrial and commercial construction projects across the UK. This position would suit an ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor seeking greater project ownership and the opportunity to work on schemes ranging from £5m to in excess of £60m.

The Role

  • Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the successful commercial delivery of one or multiple projects, ensuring financial performance, risk management and contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Management of project commercial performance
  • Procurement and management of subcontract accounts
  • Contract administration
  • Cost reporting and forecasting
  • Client valuations and variation management
  • Commercial risk assessment and mitigation
  • Final account negotiations
  • Attendance at internal and external commercial review meetings

Requirements

  • Previous experience working for a main contractor
  • Senior Quantity Surveying experience
  • Industrial, logistics or commercial project experience
  • Experience managing projects independently
  • Strong contractual and commercial knowledge
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
