We’ll help you succeed

As Financial Reporting (‘FR’) Advisory Director based in Reading you will be the FR Advisory Regional Leader for the region, sharing ownership and collaborating with the local regional Partner to grow the region’s share of national FR Advisory revenues.

You will also be responsible for acting as the technical lead for the regional team, leading local and national advisory projects, managing client relationships and contributing to the development and growth of a leading National FR Advisory practice. Locally you will also support your fellow Directors as well as the region’s Partners with practice management.

An individual’s success in this role will depend on market-relevant and solution-specific knowledge as well as an ability both to develop innovative and market-relevant solutions, and to collaborate with stakeholders to drive adoption.

Our national Financial Reporting team is dedicated to supporting CFOs and finance teams fulfil their ultimate score keeping, stewardship, and business partnering roles, so they can be successful in fostering trust and confidence in the reporting that underpins complex and critical business and investment decisions.

We understand the pressures and challenges that organisations face and take away the strain of meeting ad hoc, recurring and emerging accounting, financial reporting requirements.

A FR Advisory Director shares ownership and collaborates with regional Partners to grow their region’s share of FR Advisory revenues towards the targets set within the National FR Advisory plan.

You’ll be someone with:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalent overseas qualification.
  • Extensive working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRSs, including IFRS 9, 15 and 16.
  • Significant previous experience in a senior role, including delivering financial reporting advisory solutions, statutory accounts preparation or audit services to complex businesses.
  • Proven experience in managing a wide portfolio of concurrent projects and project teams in a project management framework.
  • Proven ability in managing and developing staff i.e. coordinating staff projects, mentoring, counselling, appraising, and recruiting.

Desirable

  • Working knowledge of US GAAP requirements as well as previous experience reconciling IFRS, US and UK GAAP results.
  • Experience with international groups and working with overseas companies.
