We are on the look out for a Quantity Surveyor to join an infrastructure business supporting construction and civil engineering projects across the UK. This role offers the chance to work within a highly technical environment, supporting specialist infrastructure projects from early site investigation through to project delivery. The successful candidate will play a key role in commercial management, contract administration, and financial control across a range of ground investigation and infrastructure schemes. The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with operational and project delivery teams, supporting commercial performance while ensuring contracts are administered effectively and project risks are managed proactively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting commercial and contract management across multiple infrastructure projects
- Assisting with NEC contract administration and change management processes
- Preparing and reviewing compensation events and variations
- Supporting payment applications and certification processes
- Managing commercial risk and helping maintain project cash flow
- Working alongside Project Managers and Operations teams to ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled
- Assisting with subcontractor and supplier management
- Supporting feasibility assessments and commercial reporting
Requirements:
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years’ Quantity Surveying experience
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Desirable:
- Experience within ground investigations, geotechnical, or infrastructure projects
- NEC3 / NEC4 knowledge or experience
- Understanding of civil engineering or specialist infrastructure works
