Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Support Worker to join our team in providing high-quality care to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly seniors and those with specific health conditions such as dementia. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting with daily living activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients while promoting their independence.

Duties

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Administer medication as prescribed and maintain accurate records of medication administration.
• Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.
• Assist with mobility and transfers when necessary, ensuring the safety of both clients and staff.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, family members, and other team members regarding client progress and needs.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in areas such as first aid, medical terminology, and dementia care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in senior care or assisted living settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with care plans is an advantage.
• Certification in first aid is desirable.
• Ability to perform moving and handling as required by the role.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• A compassionate approach towards individuals requiring support, particularly those with dementia or other health conditions.
• Relevant qualifications or training in nursing or healthcare support is beneficial but not essential.
