As part of our ongoing development, we are looking for a dedicated aircraft maintenance professional to support our operational excellence. The role involves performing maintenance and troubleshooting tasks in line with company standards and EASA/CAA regulations, while contributing to a safe, efficient, and collaborative working environment.

Bournemouth Aviation Services Ltd (BASL) is part of the Jetfly Group. Jetfly is a leader of fractional aircraft ownership in Europe for both business and private aviation. BASL is one of our Aircraft Maintenance Centres based in Bournemouth Airport. Our teams are experienced specialists trained by Pilatus who look after the aircraft to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform aircraft maintenance within company privileges and Part 66 / Part 145 limitations.
- Follow and apply Jetfly’s safety, compliance policies, manuals, and procedures.
- Issue certificates for release to service, EASA/CAA Form One’s, and serviceable tags.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and implement rational rectification using approved maintenance data.
- Complete assigned tasks within given timeframes, providing regular updates on job progress, defects, and encountered issues to relevant personnel.
- Report any defects causing operational deviations or restrictions management.
- Inform management of delays or job cancellations with proper justification.
- Lead, instruct, and motivate trainees to maximize efficiency, while promoting cost awareness within the team.
- Ensure work orders are accurate and complete, including parts, man-hours, and relevant information for discovered defects.
- Maintain high-quality documentation, properly filled and signed according to regulations and procedures.
- Receive, store, and preserve parts according to manufacturer specifications and legal/internal regulations, including proper packing of components for shipping, including IATA Dangerous Goods when applicable.
- Ensure tools are available, maintained, and in satisfactory condition for intended work.
- Keep the work environment clean, safe, and organized.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled tasks based on work orders and pilot reports, using approved maintenance data safely and efficiently.
- Support certifying staff during troubleshooting and component assembly/installation.
- Update the maintenance management system regularly to reflect activities, component changes, and man-hours.
- Report progress, defects, or delays to assigned certifying staff.
Profile
- Strong experience in aircraft maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Good knowledge of Part 145 regulations.
- Current EASA and or CAA B1.1 license holder.
- Minimum 5 years of practical aircraft maintenance experience.
- Type rating for Pilatus PC12 and/or PC24 considered an advantage or similar aircraft types.
- Team player, self-motivated, accurate, and well-organized.
- Flexible, quality-focused, and cost-conscious.
- Able to work and interact with multiple departments and contacts.
- Willing to travel occasionally and cover AOG duties or weekend shifts.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
