Restaurant Host, Armoury in Witney

Estelle Manor is a rural retreat set on an 85-acre estate in Oxfordshire. The manor has four restaurants, an extraordinary 3,000 sq metre Roman-inspired spa - Eynsham Baths, 108 bedrooms and a gym with class studios and padel courts. Plus, there’s a kids’ club for the little ones and a workspace.

We are currently looking for a passionate Restaurant Host to join our Japanese restaurant, The Armoury. The on target earning potential for this role is £32,716.96 per annum based on a 40 hour contract - comprising a base salary of £26,476.96, plus a qualified estimate of £6,000 in gratuities and service charge. Please note this role is paid hourly so this is a projected salary and OTE.

• Creating and nurturing a warm, welcoming and lasting impressions for our guests and members.
• Striving to build genuine, lasting relationships with all guests and members.
• Seating diners at their tables and efficiently managing the flow of arrivals to our restaurants.
• Capturing all member information and recording it on their guest profiles.
• Being aware of all VIP members and their guests visiting us and ensuring that the team are tailoring the experience appropriately.
• Effectively communicating any dietary requirements or special guests to the restaurant team during team briefings and on guest arrival.
• Anticipating members needs and providing them with a personalised experience, putting into place a plan for surprise and delight moments.

Who we are looking for?

A Restaurant Host who will create a warm and welcoming first impression for our members. You will oversee the guest journey in The Armoury restaurant from pre‑arrival to post‑visit, answer any member enquiries and strive to go the extra mile to ensure every member receives genuine and personalised service when visiting Estelle Manor.

• Experience managing the daily operations, set up, standards, operating procedures.
• Ability to perform under pressure and deliver results to deadlines.
• Someone who takes responsibility and initiative to explore issues and to generate new ideas with creative thinking.
• Excellent interpersonal, time management and organisational skills.
• Passionate about hosting and delivering exceptional guest experience with keen attention to detail.

About gratuities & service charge:

Gratuities (tips) are paid on a pro‑rata basis regardless of your role. It is estimated that in 2026, our full‑time employees can expect to receive in the range of £6,000 in addition to their annual salary.
