We're looking for an experienced Retail Buyer with a passion for premium and luxury brands to help shape the retail proposition across the Estelle Community.

Working closely in supporting our Creative Director and alongside our Buying Director, you'll play a key role in developing and delivering seasonal buying strategies across womenswear, menswear, jewellery, accessories, homeware, beauty and wellness, and children's accessories.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence a growing luxury retail offer, bringing exceptional brands and products to life for our members and guests.

This is a commercially focused role that blends buying, supplier management and project delivery.

Alongside analysing trading performance, negotiating with brands, managing purchasing and overseeing logistics for Estelle Manor’s multi-brand concept store, The Muse, you'll collaborate closely with Marketing, Retail Operations and other departments to deliver new product launches and retail initiatives.

You'll also take ownership of a variety of project management activities, coordinating supplier relationships, and delivering cross-functional projects that enhance the wider guest and member experience.

Travel is an important part of the role.

You'll regularly attend buying appointments and industry events, including up to four buying trips to Paris each year to coincide with Paris Fashion Week and key supplier meetings.

We're looking for someone who brings

  • At least four years' buying experience within a premium or luxury multi-brand retailer or e-commerce business.
  • Strong commercial judgement, analytical capability and an instinct for emerging trends.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven experience negotiating and building long‑term relationships with premium brands and suppliers.
  • Outstanding communication skills and the confidence to influence stakeholders across multiple teams.
  • A collaborative mindset, balancing creativity with commercial thinking to deliver exceptional commercial outcomes.
  • The flexibility to thrive in a varied role that extends beyond traditional buying responsibilities.

Based at our London office, the role follows a hybrid working pattern, with four days each week working alongside colleagues in person and one day working remotely.

This is a unique opportunity to work closely with senior creative leadership, influence the future direction of a distinctive luxury retail offer, and contribute to projects that extend far beyond buying alone.

How to prepare for a job interview at Maison Estelle

Show Off Your Customer Service Skills

Retail is all about providing an exceptional customer experience, so be ready to discuss your past customer service stories. We should have examples on hand of how we've handled difficult situations or gone above and beyond to meet a customer's needs. These anecdotes will bring your application to life!

Familiarity with Point of Sale Systems

Many retail roles require us to work with Point of Sale (POS) systems, so it's a good idea to brush up on any relevant software you’ve used before. If you’re familiar with systems like Shopify or Square, don’t forget to mention this during the interview. Highlighting technical proficiency can set us apart from other candidates!

Understand Product Knowledge

Be prepared to discuss the products that the store sells and how we can contribute to their sales. Showing enthusiasm for the products and a willingness to learn can impress interviewers. We should research popular items or trends in the industry before the interview, so we can speak confidently about them.

Be Ready for Role-Playing Scenarios

Many retail interviews include role-playing scenarios where we might have to deal with a difficult customer or upsell a product. Practising these scenarios with a friend or family member can help us feel more comfortable. The key here is to showcase our problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure!
