Celeste is the newest property from the world of Estelle, sister to Maison Estelle in Mayfair and Estelle Manor in Oxfordshire. A meticulously restored townhouse, Celeste is opening in vibrant Notting Hill, London. A public Italian-American restaurant is located on the ground floor, complete with alfresco front terrace, elegant wrap around bar counter and a glazed conservatory in the rear. Set on the first floor, our oak-panelled, Tokyo-influenced members’ bar evokes Art Deco grandeur, with a sculptural bar stretching beneath soaring windows. Celeste’s second floor offers members an open kitchen-style pantry, serving Japanese dishes from the traditional robata, alongside delectable sushi and sashimi. Tucked beneath the eaves, on Celeste’s third floor, ‘The Apartment’ is an ideal spot for a private hosted occasion, with rustic beams, reclaimed wooden floors and the spirit of an artist’s studio.

As Demi Chef de Partie - Pastry, you’ll support the delivery of our pastry offering across plated desserts, and baked goods. Working closely with the Head Pastry Chef, you’ll take ownership of your section, maintaining high standards of preparation, consistency, and presentation.
The key responsibilities for this role will include but are not limited to:
- Working in the pastry section of the Kitchen preparing a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following our recipes.
- Decorating pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be modern, beautiful, exciting and appetising.
- Working and assisting across all food sections in the kitchen, as required.
- Ensuring the highest possible standard of presentation & cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen, both in the kitchen itself and back of house areas.
- Training/coaching other members of Kitchen Team in pastry.
- Being responsible for effective stock control within the Pastry section and to control and record all wastage.
- Complying with procedures to ensure all Health and Safety and Food Hygiene requirements are compliant with current legislation and to ensure temperature records and food labelling are recorded and up to date.
- Keeping all H&S and Food safety documentation and reporting up to date in line with our food safety management system.
- Assisting the BOH Manager in ensuring the kitchen equipment is properly maintained and report any faults with equipment to him.
- Continually improving service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand and anticipate member needs.
- Attending Culinary and club-wide meetings.
- Suggesting changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, cost reductions and to improve member’s experience.
- Having good communication skills and proficiently liaising with all departments on an ongoing basis; close relationships with front of house operational teams.
Proven experience working in a Kitchen department in a luxury / lifestyle multi-outlet food and beverage operation. Stays up to date with current food trends and best practices. Must be able to work flexibly including evenings and weekends due to the operational hours of the club. Excellent communication skills and comfortable talking to colleagues, senior management and front of house to talk to members. A genuine passion for hospitality and hosting.
