We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Room Leader to join our team at Maisie Days Ltd T/A The Nursery based in Aston, Sheffield as we continue our journey of improvement and growth. Our nursery is committed to enhancing the quality of childcare and education we provide. As Room Leader, you must have:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification
  • Excellent working knowledge of EYFS
  • Extensive knowledge of safeguarding
  • Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and inspire others
  • Paediatric First Aid Training (desirable but training can be provided)

What will you be doing?

  • Be responsible for the smooth running of the room.
  • Supporting the Nursery Manager in the leadership and development of a team of childcare practitioners.
  • Communicating and building excellent working relationships with parents to encourage involvement in nursery life.
  • Be responsible for completing weekly planning and carrying out activities with the children ensuring that each child's needs are met.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children.

The position is full time; working 40 hours per week, all year round.

Successful Candidates will have:

  • A Full and Relevant Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Early Years.
  • Experience working in an Early Years Setting
  • Driving Licence
  • Ability to provide a clean DBS check

Applicants should be enthusiastic, passionate, hardworking, well presented and should work well within a team.
