A bit about the role
As Director - SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain, you will operate at Solution Architect level, leading the design and delivery of complex, end-to-end supply chain transformation programmes. This is a highly strategic, client-facing role where you will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders - owning solution architecture across planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics and fulfilment, and guiding organisations through S/4HANA transformation journeys. Alongside delivery, you will play a key role in developing and growing the Supply Chain practice - supporting pre-sales, shaping capability, and defining best practice. This role requires deep supply chain process expertise combined with strong architectural thinking, leadership, and the ability to influence at executive level.
What you’ll be doing
- Own end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain solution architecture across procurement, planning, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics and fulfilment
- Lead discovery, Fit-to-Standard and design workshops with senior business stakeholders across supply chain and operations
- Define scalable, integrated solution designs aligned to SAP best practice and client transformation objectives
- Provide architectural leadership across complex, multi-module programmes spanning MM, SD, PP/MRP, EWM/WM, TM and planning solutions (e.g. IBP)
- Drive end-to-end process design and operating model alignment across the supply chain value chain
- Oversee design governance, integration strategy, and key architecture decisions across large programmes
- Lead and support pre-sales activities, including solutioning, estimations, demos, and RFP/RFI responses
- Present clear, value-led transformation roadmaps and solution designs to prospective and existing clients
- Act as a senior escalation point for delivery teams on complex functional or architectural challenges
- Mentor and develop consultants, leads and architects within the Supply Chain practice
- Contribute to practice growth through development of assets, accelerators, and repeatable delivery models
- Support strategic initiatives, innovation, and capability building aligned to SAP's product roadmap
What we’re looking for
Essential experience
- Extensive SAP Supply Chain consulting experience, including multiple end-to-end S/4HANA implementations
- Proven experience operating at Solution Architect or senior functional lead level on large-scale transformation programmes
- Deep expertise across core supply chain domains, including procurement (MM), planning (MRP), manufacturing (PP), and logistics/fulfilment
- Strong understanding of cross-module integration across SAP (SD, EWM/WM, TM, FI/CO and planning platforms)
- Experience designing and governing complex, enterprise-wide SAP supply chain solutions
- Strong knowledge of S/4HANA capabilities, including Embedded MRP, Fiori, and standard best practices
- Demonstrable experience in pre-sales, including solution design, client presentations, and commercial input
- Ability to engage, influence and challenge senior stakeholders, including Operations and Supply Chain leadership
- Strong leadership capability, with experience mentoring and guiding delivery teams
- Experience working within structured delivery methodologies (e.g. SAP Activate, Agile)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex supply chain concepts into business outcomes
Desirable experience
- Experience with advanced supply chain solutions such as SAP IBP, EWM, TM, or Ariba
- Exposure to global template design, process harmonisation, and multi-country deployments
- Experience across public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid SAP landscapes
- Experience building and scaling delivery capability within a consulting practice
- Involvement in strategic initiatives, innovation programmes, or proofs of concept
- Experience working across multiple industries (e.g. manufacturing, consumer goods, energy, retail)
