Mission
As a Shift Engineer, you will ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of all hotel facilities. You will support both preventative and corrective maintenance activities, contributing to a safe, compliant, and comfortable environment for guests and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with company standards and schedules
- Respond to and complete corrective maintenance tasks efficiently and safely
- Ensure compliance with all technical and legal requirements
- Support the monitoring and optimisation of energy usage across the hotel
- Assist in identifying maintenance improvements and operational efficiencies
- Participate in maintenance inventory control and stock checks
- Respond to fire alarm activations and follow emergency procedures as part of the fire safety team
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and system updates
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure minimal disruption to guests
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and presentation

- Previous experience in a similar engineering or maintenance role, ideally within a hotel environment
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building systems
- Understanding of health & safety and compliance standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
