At Amberwood Care Home we are looking for a hardworking team player who is passionate about developing a career in the social care industry as a Senior Care Assistant. You will be motivated and compassionate, with a genuine interest in benefitting the lives of those within our care. You MUST hold Care Certificate and be willing to take NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care to qualify for this position.
Responsibilities of the Senior Care Assistant:
- Providing physical and mental stimulation for residents by taking part in social and recreational activities, on a one-to-one and group basis
- Assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing
- Assisting with mealtimes
- Ensuring residents' independence, dignity and respect, by delivering the very best person-centred care
- Helping to maintain accurate records
- Undertaking regular ongoing training
- Developing relationships with our residents and their families in order to gain a better understanding of how to provide the best possible care
- Reviews with external health professionals
- Lead the team of care assistants
- Administer medication
