ROLE PURPOSE
As People Data, Systems and Reward Analyst, you will play a critical role in delivering a positive People experience through enabling the integrity, optimisation and insight generated from people systems and data, with a specialist focus on Ciphr (core HR and Recruitment), Cornerstone (LMS), and Access SelectPay (Payroll). ROLE OBJECTIVES
- Optimises people systems and data through data integrity and leveraging full functionality.
- Delivers robust reporting – internal and external, including statutory reporting e.g. gender pay gap analysis.
- Plays a key role in cyclical and ongoing Reward activities, e.g. salary and bonus reviews and pay benchmarking.
- Enables data‑informed decision making and a seamless people experience.
- Provides support to and coverage for payroll processes.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
People Systems (Ciphr, Cornerstone and Access SelectPay)- Serve as system administrator for Ciphr, Cornerstone and Access SelectPay systems.
- Maintain workflows, security profiles, organisational structures and system configuration in line with company IT policies.
- Work with the IT Team to enable integrations between HR, recruitment, payroll and learning systems and ensure system upgrades, UAT, release testing and ongoing improvements are managed effectively.
- Troubleshoot system issues and co-ordinate with suppliers where required.
- Maintain data accuracy across Ciphr, Cornerstone and Access SelectPay, through scheduled audits and governance checks.
- Ensure GDPR compliance and maintain robust role-based access controls.
- Develop and maintain data in line with company data management standards.
- Produce and automate dashboards using Ciphr reporting, Cornerstone Insights, Access SelectPay and work with the IT team to leverage Power BI capability.
- Deliver workforce metrics, e.g. headcount, turnover, absence, learning compliance, cost trends and reward analytics.
- Provide regular reporting for the People and Finance teams, and the Board.
- Translate data into actionable insight to inform decision-making.
- Enable annual pay and bonus cycles through data integrity and modelling.
- Support statutory reporting, including Gender Pay Gap analysis.
- Provide job evaluation analysis, benchmarking and internal pay comparisons.
- Develop and maintain salary frameworks, job families and reward structures.
- Provide first-line support to People Team, managers and employees on Ciphr, Cornerstone and Access SelectPay processes.
- Develop and maintain training materials and guidance.
- Deliver training sessions for new features or process improvements.
- Support system enhancements, process redesign and new module implementation.
- Ensure robust testing, documentation and change control practices.
- Play a key role in any new system selection and implementation.
- Provide support and cover to the Payroll Manager to enable accurate and timely monthly payroll processing through Access SelectPay.
- Oversee payroll related data in Ciphr, including starters, leavers, contractual changes, hours, overtime, allowances, absences and deductions.
- Assist the Payroll Manager with any pre-payroll checks and reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Provide cover to the Payroll Manager in handling payroll queries, resolving issues promptly and accurately.
- Assist the Payroll Manager in maintaining payroll controls, audit trails and compliance with HMRC regulations and statutory requirements including Real Time Information (RTI), P60s, parental leave calculations and pension auto enrolment processes.
- Collaborate with the People Services Team Leader and Payroll Manager on pay changes, benefits updates, allowances and bonus payments to ensure correct payroll treatment.

EXPERIENCE
Essential- Experience in using Ciphr for HR, including Ciphr Connect integrations.
- Strong reporting and analytics capability.
- Experience supporting system upgrades, configuration and testing.
- Exposure to Reward processes including salary and bonus reviews, pay benchmarking and gender pay reporting.
- Experience of HR system scoping, selection and implementation.
- End-to-end payroll experience.
- Experience supporting Cornerstone (LMS) and knowledge of compliance reporting and learning workflows.
- Understanding of job evaluation and grading frameworks.
- Knowledge of payroll systems, legislation, HMRC compliance and statutory reporting.
- Advanced reporting tool experience, e.g. Power BI.
