Maintech Recruitment is seeking an experienced Contract Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical bias to support one of our automotive manufacturing clients based in Telford. This is a 2-week contract offering £38.00 per hour, working Monday to Friday, 10-hour shifts (50 hours per week), supporting planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdowns within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.
The Role
As a Contract Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining a wide range of automated manufacturing equipment, ensuring maximum uptime across the site. Equipment includes:
- Industrial robotics
- CNC machinery
- Mechanical and hydraulic presses
- Automated assembly equipment
- Conveyors and associated production machinery
Skills & Experience Required
- Time-served Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical bias
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent)
- Previous experience within automotive or highly automated manufacturing environments
- Excellent electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience working on robotics, CNC machinery, presses and automated production equipment
- PLC fault-finding and interrogation experience would be advantageous
- Able to work independently and hit the ground running
- Own tools and PPE
- Right to work in the UK without sponsorship
