Operating a highly automated distribution centre, the site processes and distributes essential medicines and healthcare products nationwide, relying on advanced automation technology to maintain exceptional service levels.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join a large, experienced engineering team where training, development and progression are genuinely encouraged. Whether you're electrically biased, mechanically biased or developing your multi-skilled capability, you'll be supported by experienced engineers and exposed to industry-leading automation systems. You'll gain experience working on advanced warehouse automation, materials handling equipment and control systems within a structured engineering environment where knowledge sharing and continuous development are part of the culture.
Responsibilities of a Maintenance Engineer:- Carry out planned preventative maintenance across automated warehouse and distribution systems
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and faults to minimise operational downtime
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults across automated materials handling equipment
- Maintain and support advanced automation systems including conveyors, sortation equipment and automated storage systems
- Complete maintenance records accurately using CMMS systems
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities
- Work closely with operations teams to maximise equipment availability and reliability
- Participate in planned maintenance shutdowns and engineering improvement projects
- NVQ Level 3, apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification
- Electrical or Mechanical maintenance background
- Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, logistics, warehousing or automated environments
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience using CMMS systems desirable
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies
- Strong communication and team-working skills

- 3-shift rotation: 07:00 – 15:30, 11:00 – 19:00, 14:00 – 22:30, 1 in 3 Saturdays
