Location; UK Wide – Field Based We are working with a long-established manufacturer of high-speed CNC machine tools, automation systems and additive manufacturing technology, with a heritage stretching back over 90 years. Continued growth across its UK customer base means the service team is now expanding. As a Field Service Engineer, you will look after customers across the UK, keeping high-precision machining centres running at their best. The role has a strong mechanical bias and blends servicing and fault-finding with project work on new installations, with full product training provided. This would suit an engineer from a machine tool background who enjoys variety, independence and life on the road, and wants to work with leading-edge CNC technology. Responsibilities of a Field Service Engineer: Carrying out scheduled maintenance and service visits at customer sites Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults across the CNC product range Completing mechanical and electrical retrofits, including spindle exchanges Supporting the installation and set-up of new machinery Providing technical support and advice to customers Working safely and in line with company procedures and health and safety regulations Skills & Qualifications of a Field Service Engineer: Engineering background within the machine tool industry, covering installation, servicing and maintenance Previous experience with a machine tool or lathe manufacturer or agent Strong mechanical skills, with some electrical knowledge FANUC control experience would be an advantage Confident, customer-focused communicator who is comfortable working independently Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally, including overnight stays Benefits of a Field Service Engineer: Salary from £47,963 (dependent on experience) 36-hour working week with an early finish on Fridays Company vehicle with private fuel benefit Enhanced pension with generous employer contributions Private healthcare (family can be added), medical cash plan, life insurance, income protection and critical illness cover 28 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service If you feel this Field Service Engineer role is right for you, please contact Becky at Maintech Recruitment for more information or click apply.
