Location: Crewe

We are working with an established automated warehouse operation based in Crewe, supporting a busy logistics and distribution environment with a strong focus on efficiency, accuracy and smooth day-to-day operations. This is a temporary opportunity for an FLT / PPT Driver to join the site on a 6-9 month contract, working 7.5 hours per day between 8:30am and 5:00pm.

Duties will include:

  • Unloading inbound vehicles using a power pallet truck (PPT) and a counterbalance forklift truck (FLT)
  • Processing trade returns – receiving, booking in, opening and counting returned stock
  • Other associated warehouse duties

This role would suit a driver who is confident on both PPT and FLT and can provide evidence of experience, although in-house training can be provided for the right candidate. It's a great opportunity for someone looking for steady daytime hours and hands-on warehouse work within a modern, automated site.

Responsibilities of a Temporary FLT / PPT Driver:

  • Unload inbound vehicles safely and efficiently using a power pallet truck (PPT)
  • Operate a counterbalance forklift truck (FLT) as required across the site
  • Receive and book in trade returns accurately
  • Open and count returned stock, checking for discrepancies
  • Carry out general warehouse duties as required
  • Maintain a safe, tidy and organised working area
  • Follow all site health and safety procedures

Skills & Qualifications of a Temporary FLT / PPT Driver:

  • Experience operating a PPT and/or FLT (counterbalance) is preferred, with evidence to support
  • Previous warehouse or logistics experience is beneficial
  • Comfortable carrying out manual, hands-on tasks
  • Good attention to detail, particularly when checking and counting stock
  • Reliable, punctual and able to commit to the full contract length
