We are working with a heavy industrial manufacturer based in Bradford who have an opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer on days 8am till 4pm. The team is very split and Mechanical Maintenance Engineers will only be responsible for all mechanical breakdowns and proactive maintenance. There are a wide range of skilled engineers on site for you to work with and learn from, with lots of career progression opportunities should you wish to take this route.
Responsibilities of a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
- Establish and carry out planned preventative maintenance activities to maximise plant reliability.
- Undertake planned and emergency repairs in a safe and timely manner including any follow up actions and recording of work using SAP.
- Work safely and follow industry best practice.
- Develop Risk Assessment and Method Statements for all engineering activities.
- Work alongside contractors during planned maintenance opportunities.
- Manage and maintain stock levels of machinery spares and consumables.
- Carry out fault finding and diagnostics in emergency breakdown situations.
Qualifications & skills of a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
- NVQ level 3 Mechanical
- CMMS
- SAP

- Basic salary £42,000
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, rising to 27 days with service
