We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager for this food manufacturing business in Cumbria. This food manufacturing business operates as a mutual, where all profits of the business go to staff and back into the business making it a better place to work. They supply a wide variety of products to the UK, who supply major foodservice brands and they collaborate to inspire, innovate, and deliver high-quality products.
Your role as the Engineering Manager will be to support and manage the engineering team to ensure delivery of high standards of both planned and reactive work so that plant availability is optimized.
The role of an Engineering Manager includes:
- Comply with statutory regulations and requirements
- Ensure downtime is minimized, liaising with the Operations and Planning teams to allow for all PPM’s to be completed in a timely manner
- Ensure Food Safety and Equipment Integrity is tracked in line with PPM’s
- Manage and lead a team of engineers, leading by example
- Compliance and H&S
- Maintain appropriate standards within engineering areas
- Drive a positive team culture
