We are on the look our for an experienced Solar How about taking your experience to work for an organisation that is driving the design, installation and maintenance of Solar Panels for our clients commercial division. Over the last 7 years they have grown their business through reputation into one of the UK\’s leading providers of electrical installations & maintenance works. They are currently turning away work and are looking to expand their offering to existing clients. They\’ve built an impressive client base in the commercial and industrial space. Due to expansion they are now looking for Solar professionals to join them on their journey You will be responsible for installing rooftop Solar panels in a commercial setting, as well as carrying out inspection, testing and remedials on existing panels. The benefits package of this solar team leader\’s role: Salary £45,000 – £50,000 depending on experience 40 hour week Monday – Friday paid door to door 25 Days holiday + bank holidays Company pension Scheme Company van & fuel card The role as a Solar installer: Design & produce electrical drawings for the installation of solar panels. Field based covering England, Scotland and Wales. Conduct electrical wiring and connections for solar panels and install cabling, conduits and related electrical equipment according to specifications. Electrical Installation, testing and commissioning in accordance with technical specifications and industry standards to ensure a fully functional solar power plant. Comprehensive diagnostics tests to detect issues in electrical components, connections and overall performance. Prompt and effective repair services to resolve any faults minimising downtime and ensuring continuous operations. Conduct series of stringent tests to evaluate the system\’s performance and safety. Perform routine maintenance checks on installed systems to ensure optimal performance. Provide detailed reports and certification documents confirming compliance with industry standards and regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion. Must adhere to all on-site safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The skills and Qualifications need to be successful in this Solar Installers Role: Experienced with a full understanding of Solar PV on business premises or open land. NVQ L3 or equivalent, 18th Edition & 2391 Qualifications In depth experience of installing Solar Modules including connecting DC cables via MC4 connectors Experience of Ground (CPC) electrical equipment and checking AC & DC wiring. Experience of working within a Team Leader/Working Supervisor role Experience working at height Full understanding of Solar PV Electrical designs and layouts (Minimum 2 years) Fully understand the importance of carrying out works stipulated within the RAMS/CPP and the need to ensure all methods are followed.
