We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join the engineering team, working a rotating shift pattern covering both days and nights. You'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance across plant, processes and equipment, diagnosing and resolving faults to keep production running safely, efficiently and reliably, while playing an active role in driving continuous improvement. This role would suit an experienced multi-skilled or electrical maintenance engineer looking to join a business that is investing heavily in its engineering capability. Responsibilities of a Multi-Skilled Engineer:
- Carry out day-to-day planned and reactive maintenance across plant, assets and services
- Diagnose and repair equipment faults promptly to minimise downtime
- Complete PPM tasks and help develop improved maintenance practices
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with food safety, GMP and H&S standards
- Play an active role in daily shift meetings, sharing best practice across the team
- Maintain accurate shift paperwork and support budget and stock control
- Support continuous improvement of plant reliability, efficiency and quality
Skills & Qualifications of a Multi-Skilled Engineer:
- Recognised electrical qualification - Level 3 NVQ/BTEC or equivalent (essential; excluding 17th Edition)
- Strong electrical fault-finding knowledge and experience
- Experience in a similar multi-skilled or maintenance engineering role
- FMCG or food manufacturing background desirable
- IT literate, with the ability to work confidently with CMMS systems
