Due to investment into this food manufacturing business in Skelmersdale, we are looking for two reliability engineers to join the Engineering team. You'll have ample opportunities to enhance your skills through our development programmes. The role of a Reliability Engineer:
- Work with Maintenance Planners, Line Engineering Lead and Manufacturing Technicians to ensure all planned maintenance is completed.
- Provide additional reactive support to Shift Technicians/Operations teams, when required.
- Create link with Controls System Specialist, Electrical Duty Holder, Reliability & Condition Monitoring Specialist to support completion of preventative work orders and in-depth analysis countermeasures.
- Support Specialist teams delivering action completion and continuous improvement support.
- Provide support to ensure maintenance plans, task instructions and stores holdings are correct.
- Lead and support improvements through CI initiatives and preventative actions (to include health & safety and food safety actions).
- Drive and own root cause analysis completion.
- Creation of Visual Management for Planned Maintenance tasks.
- Ambassador for engineering standards and best practice across site.
The qualifications & skills required to become a Maintenance Engineer:
- A minimum of a level 3 maintenance engineer C&G NVQ, BTEC.
- Understanding of SCADA control systems, and PLC fault finding would be an advantage.
- Multi-skilled with an electrical bias.
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
The benefits of this Reliability Engineer's role:
- Salary £47,700.
- Quarterly bonus incentive of up to £**** pa.
- Total 42 hours across 3.5 days per week - 3 x 12 hour day shift (06:******:00) aligned with site engineering shutdowns + additional 6 hours alternating Wednesday and Friday each week 07:******:00.
