I have a really lovely company based in Peterborough who have a double days role for a mechanical engineer. This company has very little turnover due to the nice nature of the company and the team you will be working in.
Your new company is in a mix of food manufacturing and FMCG but providing you have strong mechanical skills then they are open to talking to you.
Duties of this Mechanical Maintenance Engineers Role:
- Provide an Mechanical engineering service to the production team to achieve minimal down time
- Proactive for carrying out planned maintenance duties
- Insuring you are commercially aware of budgets to ensure there is the right amount of spares
- Look at ways to continuously improve efficiencies and downtime
- Collect and compile all data as requested
- To encourage and motivate trainee fitters and apprentices and offer assistance
- Maintaining and working in a safe manner, highlighting any safety concerns
Qualifications required for Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
- Minimum of a level three Mechanicalengineering qualification
- Experience within a manufacturing maintenance department
- Some PLC knowledge would be an advantage

- Shift Pattern – Double Days 6am – 2pm / 2pm till 10pm – Monday to Friday
