Overview
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team of veterinary surgeons on a permanent basis. Mainstone Vets strives to provide the best personalised care for its clients and their patients. We are a growing practice with deep roots in the local community of Romsey, continually investing in our facilities and staff. Our personal approach to cases and communication around treatment and options sets us apart. Located in the beautiful Broadlands Estate with easy access to the M27, we offer an inspiring workplace.
Responsibilities
- Full‑time position, 40 hours per week.
- 1:5 Saturdays and one to two evenings per week, shifts ending at 7:00 PM.
- Use of multiparameter monitors, doppler blood pressure monitoring, syringe driver, infusion pumps, in‑house laboratory equipment, floating x‑ray table, dental suite, and silver‑cat friendly clinic times.
- Participation in regular veterinary and full‑team meetings to discuss cases, concerns and new developments.
- Engagement with the community through shows, open days and talks at local schools.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Veterinary Surgeon, preferably with experience (sole charge normally Saturdays only, preferred with vets willing to support).
- Motivation, positivity and progressive mindset to contribute to high‑quality care.
- Strong communication skills – essential for client and team interactions.
- Willingness to be part of a supportive team that values humour and collaboration.
