The predicted salary is between 31200 - 35360 £ per year.
We are recruiting for a permanent HGV Class 2 Driver to work for our client in Essex.
Hours of work: Monday-Friday 06:00 - 15:00, 42.5 hours paid per week.
You will be responsible for the delivery of insulation products, completing around 6 deliveries per day. The shift times are fairly fixed with not much requirement for additional overtime. This will allow a good work-life balance for the successful driver as late shifts and overtime are not a requirement of the role. There is also no manual handling / handball involved. You will be a permanent, full-time driver from day one.
About the Role
- Responsible for carrying out multi-drop deliveries and collections of goods in a safe and efficient manner.
- Duties will include loading and off-loading products and multi drops.
- Follow all transport laws, including Drivers Hours and rest break requirements.
- Perform daily vehicle checks, report defects, and complete required paperwork.
- Load, unload, and transport goods safely, ensuring they are secure and undamaged.
- Deliver and collect goods on schedule, obtaining customer signatures on delivery.
- Maintain professionalism with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Report accidents, penalties, vehicle damage, or major maintenance issues.
- Keep the vehicle clean.
About You
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Valid Class 2/Category C Driving Licence.
- Valid CPC Card and Tachograph Card.
- A minimum of two years HGV driving experience.
- Aged over 25.
- A professional approach.
- Excellent customer service.
- A good knowledge of drivers working time and driving hours regulations.
- Flexible approach.
- A Moffett licence would be an advantage but training will be provided.
- Experience delivering to building sites.
