Location: Field Based (Warrington & Surrounding Areas)

Salary: £41,500 – £44,500 per annum + On Call Allowance (£205 per call out)

Benefits: Company van & fuel card + time and a half overtime

Working Hours: Flexible 3-shift pattern, Monday to Friday (08:00–16:00, 09:00–17:00, or 10:00–18:00)

Mainstay Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Electrician. Working across domestic properties, you’ll play a key role in ensuring homes remain safe, compliant, and fully operational. You’ll be supported by an experienced team, clear processes, and a steady workflow—so you can focus on delivering high-quality work without the hassle of sourcing jobs or second-guessing requirements.

The Role

  • Carry out reactive and remedial electrical work across domestic properties, including power, lighting, fire alarms, emergency lighting, and heating systems
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and safely
  • Conduct inspection, testing, and certification (e.g. Minor Works Certificates, EICRs, fire alarm and emergency lighting certification)
  • Collaborate with housing and maintenance teams to coordinate access and deliver right-first-time results
  • Maintain high health and safety standards by reviewing risk reports and following safe systems of work
  • Represent the organisation professionally while working on-site

About You

  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region
  • City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation (2365 or 2330) or equivalent
  • 18th Edition (2382) and Inspection & Testing (2391 or 2391/52) – desirable but not essential
  • Proven experience in domestic electrical work, including fault finding, repairs, and certification
  • A practical, safety-first mindset and pride in delivering quality workmanship
  • Able to pass BPSS Clearance
