Billable Works Project Manager Location: West Midlands (covering Midlands, Wales, and East Anglia) Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time Salary: Up to £55,000 + Company Car/Car Allowance Mainstay Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Area Project Manager role with our well known, prestigious client to be based in the West Midlands primarily but with some additional cover needed in Wales and East Anglia. In this mobile role, you will manage the full project lifecycle of Billable Works—from concept and design through to pricing, delivery, and handover—ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high standards. You\'ll work closely with stakeholders, including Reserve Forces\' and Cadets\' Associations (RFCAs), site teams, and supply chain partners, delivering works that support operational readiness and long-term estate sustainability. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver Billable Works projects in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, particularly Health & Safety and environmental standards. • Monitor and coordinate Supply Chain partners to ensure skilled personnel are assigned appropriately and tasks are completed to required quality standards. • Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements prior to project commencement. • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scopes, set priorities, and schedule works using Maximo. • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and uploaded to relevant systems, such as SharePoint. • Maintain strong cost control, stakeholder communication, and risk management throughout project delivery. • Provide technical guidance to clients, resolve issues, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. • Support broader initiatives, including carbon reduction and value-for-money outcomes. What You’ll Bring: • HND (or higher) in Building, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline—or equivalent practical experience. • Management-level Health & Safety qualification (e.g., SMSTS) is essential. • Proven experience managing suppliers and contractors in a project delivery environment. • Strong understanding of cost control, stakeholder engagement, and KPI performance. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence with systems used for documentation and project management. • Excellent communication, planning, and decision-making skills. • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the Midlands, Wales, and East Anglia.
