An opportunity has arisen for a mid-level Hands-On Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced industrial coatings business operating from a high-volume production facility in Coventry. The site delivers liquid paint and powder coating services to the automotive, industrial and agricultural sectors, where uptime, speed of response and equipment reliability are critical to meeting strict production schedules and customer deadlines.
This is a fully floor-based, reactive and preventative maintenance role suited to a mechanically biased engineer with strong practical capability and a willingness to work in a demanding production environment. The role requires rapid physical intervention to diagnose faults, repair equipment and restore production as quickly and safely as possible.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out hands-on maintenance and repair of production machinery, plant equipment and associated systems within a live manufacturing environment.
- Rebuild and service fluid handling equipment including pumps, reciprocating spray guns, electrostatic bells and injectors.
- Maintain and overhaul industrial curing ovens, including burners, blowers, conveyor tracks and associated mechanical components.
- Clean, replace and maintain booth filtration systems, including dry filters, water-wash sludge systems and air handling units.
