About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Contract Quality Manager to take ownership of quality and continuous improvement across a busy Defence FM contract. You’ll lead the delivery of the contract’s audit programme, working closely with operational teams, client representatives and key stakeholders to identify issues, manage corrective actions and ensure services are consistently delivered to the required standards. The role combines quality assurance, auditing, data analysis and stakeholder management, giving you the opportunity to directly influence service delivery, customer satisfaction and overall contract performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver the Annual Quality Audit Programme, including the EM02 audit programme.
  • Plan and coordinate audits with auditees and client representatives.
  • Identify and manage non-conformances, corrective actions and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with operational teams to identify issues and resolve them at the point of audit wherever possible.
  • Ensure audit actions are appropriately recorded, managed and closed within agreed timescales.
  • Identify and escalate health & safety concerns, ensuring appropriate actions are raised and tracked through to completion.
  • Analyse contractual and operational data to identify trends, risks and areas of service deficiency.
  • Produce accurate, concise and professional contractual and internal reports for senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Support the Forward Additional Service Plan and contribute to client meetings through the FDIS governance structure.
  • Ensure Quality Management System processes are established, implemented and continually improved.
  • Provide quality support and guidance to operational teams across the contract.
  • Work collaboratively with the Technical Compliance Manager, other Contract Quality Managers and client representatives.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality across the contract.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience working within quality management and audit environments.
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards, corrective actions and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience identifying non-conformances and managing actions through to completion.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends and performance issues.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence manipulating and analysing data.
  • Strong report writing skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with operational and client teams.
  • Professional membership of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI), or a willingness to work towards membership, would be advantageous.
  • Experience with DIO Assurance Practitioners Guide EM/02, CAFM systems such as Maximo, Lean Six Sigma, formal Quality Management Systems or corrective action methodologies would also be beneficial.

Additional Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • British citizenship due to site restrictions.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SC security clearance.
  • Willingness to undertake occasional travel between sites.
