HGV Class 1 Drivers required for excellent temp-to-perm opportunities in Minworth! We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join a well-established operation offering simple, desirable, RDC work on 4 on, 4 off shift patterns. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for a consistent rota, modern vehicles, excellent earning potential and the opportunity to secure a full-time permanent position.
Pay & Earnings
- Basic pay: £16.49 per hour + £1.00 per hour shift allowance (paid for every hour worked)
- Effective hourly rate: £17.49 per hour
- Based on guaranteed 12-hour shifts, this provides minimum annual earnings of approximately £38,300
- Overtime shifts available at time and a half
- Additional earning opportunities available through overtime
The Role
- Trunking work, all deliveries to RDCs
- 4 on, 4 off shift pattern
- 12-hour shift average
- Start times between 02:00 and 07:00; driver preferences can be accommodated where reasonably possible
- No handball and no self-tipping
- All vehicles are 2023 or newer
- All trucks are equipped with air conditioning, making them comfortable to drive during the warmer months
Temp-to-perm positions
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to move into a full-time permanent position.
